This is my buddy Ron who passed away recently. He told me often how privileged he was to know me. But the privilege was truly mine. I don’t know another person who could make a friend as fast and easily as Ron. I will miss his terrific stories, his bear hugs, and his ‘love ya kid’. We have been friends since I worked under him at edy’s when I was 18 and then again at Handy Andy’s. He has seen me through every single adult milestone. We held onto our friendship for 32 years because we checked in with each other often. We had weekly drinks to catch up and supported each other through everything. With his passing, I feel good knowing we kept in touch regularly. I feel good knowing how he felt about me and that he knew how I felt about him. If you have a friend that you keep saying ‘let’s go grab a beer sometime’, DO IT! Make the call and grab the beer before it’s too late. RIP Ron.
