“What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make”
I became an entrepreneur in 1995 at the age of 15 with only a sixth-grade education.
I didn’t become an entrepreneur because I had some grand idea, invention, or feel a creative passion from within. I did it because at the age of 15 I found myself in a position of having to figure out how to provide for my basic needs and not go hungry.
While my peers entered and graduated from high school I learned of budgets, licenses, insurance, taxes, strategy, and more.
For the last few decades, I have furthered my education, raised a family, and weaved in and out of the corporate world.
In 2019 I decided again to leave the corporate world and focus solely on my business and client base.
Serendipitously also in 2019, my personal story of struggle and survival broke to a worldwide audience of over 10 million people.
For the last few years, I have struggled to allocate enough time to my business and clients while riding this wave of change and transformation for the betterment of women worldwide.
I have known for a while that it is not sustainable to do both for a long period of time.
I am writing to you my beloved clients and friends to let you know that I have decided to step away from my business and focus solely on moving the needle to end exploitation through research advocacy and education. Though my work at the foundation continues to be on a volunteer basis I am confident that soon that will change.
Until then I have accepted a position that will allow me to continue to passionately advocate and support our youth right here in our community as they transition into adulthood and their careers. This will allow me the flexibility to continue working in Resiliency Foundation and provide financially for my family.
I appreciate all the love and support that I have received from all of you over the last few years please know that this is not goodbye.
I'm always just a phone call, email, or text away.
While I will not be accepting any new clients or contracts, if your business needs services, please reach out to me.
I am happy to connect you with one of the fabulous people in my network that can serve all the needs that I did.
If you would like to follow up with the work of the foundation, I encourage you to visit our website and sign up to be part of our email list.
I appreciate your continued support as I step fully into this new role and look forward to keeping in touch with all of you.
With warmest regards,
Genevieve Meyer, MBA
