Many of us struggle with apologizing because deep down, we believe it means we’re
a bad person. That’s not a useful belief. We make mistakes if we’re in the game as communicators in any meaningful way.

Figure out:
• What you'll do your best to do differently
• Possible causes of your lapse in judgment
• How you impacted the other person
• What they might like you to do now about it

Resetting is the goal. It’s a Pro Move to own your mistakes.

We had a wonderful time with the women of northern Indiana this week where Michelle keynoted to build braver, more skilled communicators to lead the region. Special thanks to PNC Bank for the gift of Michelle's book to all participants. The vibe was exciting and positive, and we are grateful.

It's a dream come true! One of the American organizations we most admire has invited Michelle to Ann Arbor, MI to speak about overcoming hidden challenges in communication. It's going to be a meaningful conversation and a lot of fun. Come curious, leave confident, and enjoy delicious Zingerman's food and beverages.

Women’s Council Luncheon – Communicate with Courage
May 21 11:30 am - 1:00 pm at Ivy Tech Community College

Presenter: Michelle Gladieux, Gladieux Consulting

The first 50 registrants will receive a copy of the presenter’s book: “Communicate with Courage.”

Join us to overcome obstacles that hold you back from your potential as a communicator. When we become braver and more skilled at communication, we make a more positive difference in our own and others’ lives – at work and at home.

In this keynote based on Michelle’s award-winning book “Communicate with Courage: Taking Risks to Overcome the Four Hidden Challenges”, we’ll learn to more fully connect with others, and love and challenge ourselves more fully as we overcome

Hiding—Fear of exposing our actual or supposed weaknesses
Defining—Putting too much stock into our assumptions
Rationalizing—Using “being realistic” to shield us from scary but rewarding actions
Settling—Stopping at “good enough” instead of something better in everyday interactions

Registration Deadline is May 18.
