The greatest threat to the security of the United States is not China, Iran, or even terrorism.
The greatest threat to the United States - to the people, to the economy, to individual liberty - is the Republican Party.
Let’s look at economic security. The Republican Party promotes the flaw3ed economic idea that having a few hundred billionaires, subsidized by tax dollars, makes a strong and healthy economy - despite having the majority of working people trying to scrape by on ever-declining wages. They believe - or want voters to believe - that by cutting wages and taxing the poor and working people and funneling more money to the richest 1% of the population, everyone will be better off.
So, why won’t voters just vote them out? Because they can’t. The Republicans handed control of the government to the very corporations that seek to enrich themselves by extracting labor and wealth from workers. The Republican idea of government is that the richest 1% of the population operate the government for their exclusive benefit. The 1% controls the party by controlling the finances. We see a revolving door policy of corporate executives taking positions in government agencies as Secretaries where they regulate their own industries, then get rewarded with bigger salaries and bonuses when they return to industry.
We see outright corruption and bribery… Let’s look at Republican hero Nikki Haley. The essentially bankrupt Haley, with just a few hundred dollars to her name, suddenly had $12 million of income from a Defense Contractor -
“The former South Carolina governor left the Trump administration in 2018 at a time when her parents were struggling financially and had just faced foreclosure. Those days are over. Haley now resides in a 5,700-square-foot mansion on Kiawah Island now worth close to $5 million. What did she do to “earn” this great wealth - used her position in government to benefit the company. That’s how - she’s openly and blatantly corrupt.
That’s how the Republican Party works - through bribery, corruption, and selling out the country for personal gain.
People like Nikki Haley, as the rest of the corrupt Republican Party, are willing to sell the security of the world and the nation, along with the financial security of 300 million people, so that they and small number of uber-rich can become richer.
Haley’s corruption is just one example of the rottenness of the Republican Party. In previous posts I wrote about how the Repubican Party is primarily a money laundering operation and how Trump (either knowingly or was just duped) laundered money for a the Iranian Revolutionary Guard through a fake hotel construction project in Azerbaijan. He may not have known (but he should have known) that he was dealing with terrorists - but the Republican mantra is to grab as much wealth as possible and not be concerned about where it comes from or what the consequences are.
What we see in the Republican Party is that they launder money for terrorists and create war for profit - just like Bush invaded Iraq so that Vice-President Cheney’s former employer could get oilfield service contracts.
The corrupt and reckless of pursuit of ever-expanding wealth for the 1% is a danger to the security of the world and the USA. The Republican’s willingness to continue to create wide-scale homelessness and poverty in order to funnel more money to the 1% makes them a threat to the economic security of the USA.
Look at your own finances. Are you a billionaire, or do have even tens of millions of dollars? If the answer is no, then you need to understand that the Republican Party sees you as an enemy. Yes, that’s right - the American people are the enemy of the Republican Party.
