So while, on vacation about a month ago…at the port of St. Thomas…an ominous site occured when the US Navy docked beside us. As you can see the Marine Helicopters on the ship…I had a feeling they weren’t headed into the region for a vacation! And today we now know! Semper Fi Marine Corp!

Happy Birthday Allen County, Indiana!
April 1, 1824 our County was officially established. As the Chairman of the Allen County Bicentennial Committee, it was an honor to speak at our opening ceremony with other presenters this morning. Heartland Sings sang Back Home Again In Indiana and our Star-Spangled Banner and Cookie Cottage provided some amazing bicentennial cookies too!

It was an honor to attend and speak at the Son’s of the American Revolution’s meeting this morning. Their President Jeff Jones gave me a challenge coin and I was able to speak on the upcoming Bicentennial celebration in Allen County. Great organization in our community! Thank you President Jones!
