In some transactions, the signing agent may receive only a fraction of the total signing-service fee charged upstream. When title companies fail to separately recognize the value of the notarial and signing work being performed, they create a compensation structure in which the professional performing the work can receive only a small portion of the value generated by the transaction.

When that compensation is too low to cover the contractor’s time, travel, equipment, printing, insurance, taxes, and administrative costs, working people can remain dependent on public assistance despite actively producing revenue for the real-estate industry.

That means private companies may be externalizing part of the true cost of their labor model onto workers, their families, and ultimately taxpayers.
