Packaging Before and After:
1st slide is a supplier who packed us some 321 Stainless Steel per AMS 5510 0160”thk x 8.30” x 11.70”
Qty: 150
My only issue is that they didn’t secure the material in the 5 gallon drum properly causing the material to rattle around on the UPS truck resulting in some bent edges. This is usually a quality cause for rejection but our customer is open to seeing if they can flatten this material during forming

2nd slide is us packaging this 5 gallon drum with some insulation (bubble wrap)

3rd slide is overkill with tape because there’s nothing more unstable than 70lbs of metal in a 5 gallon circular drum inside of a cardboard box. Love the tape though.

Anyone with some solutions for next time?

302/304 Quarter Hard (1/4H) per AMS 5903 and AMS 5910 ready for UPS pickup.

Tempered stainless sheets are incredibly difficult to come by. As one of the top results on google for these AMS specs and many others that fall under the tempered stainless group Fighter Jet Metals is honed in on supplying this type of stainless.

𝐌𝐏𝟑𝟓𝐍: 𝐀 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐎𝐢𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐚𝐬 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 MP35N (UNS R30035) is a vacuum induction melted (VIM), vacuum arc re-melted (VAR) superalloy with cobalt, nickel, chromium, and molybdenum as its primary alloying elements. Its nominal chemical composition by weight is 35% cobalt, 35% nickel, 20% chromium, and 10% molybdenum. Pictured here is MP35N per AMS 5844 0.525”dia cut to 12”L

Monel 400 Plate (AMS 4544 / QQ-N-281) as well as EH-36 Plate for Marine application. EH-36 used primarily in shipbuilding / repair and other marine applications. The high strength characteristics service the structural requirements of ships, barges, and other types of marine equipment. Monel 400 Plate on the other hand is a ductile nickel-copper alloy with resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions. This Nickel plate is most frequently specified in environments ranging from mildly oxidizing through neutral and in moderately reducing conditions. An additional application area of the material is in marine environments and other nonoxidizing chloride solutions.

Special thanks to for allowing us some warehouse space and to borrow a forklift in a pinch. PH13-8Mo Stainless Steel Round Bar recently shipped to an undisclosed customer. Usually to the AMS 5629 specification, this PH 13-8Mo also holds the DMS 2100 specification. DMS specifications originate from McDonnell Douglas (which merged with Boeing in the early 90’s) and are used to designate that material has been manufactured properly per DMS specification. 13-8 per AMS 5629 Stainless Steel is used in Aerospace components, landing gear, nuclear reactor components, petrochemical industry, injection molding equipment, among other things.

Money K500 Round Bars now on their way for delivery for Defense Industry end use. 1 & 3/8” Diameter x 48”L for a quantity of 13 bars. The corrosion resistance of MONEL alloy K-500 is substantially equivalent to that of Monel 400 except that, when in the age-hardened condition, alloy K-500 has a greater tendency toward stress-corrosion cracking in some environments.
