I hear it all the time… “Your photos look AI-generated.”
But maybe we’ve got that backwards. 😏
AI has been learning from photographs, art, lighting, composition, color, and creative work made by humans for years.
So when my portraits look a little surreal, cinematic, or almost impossible… maybe they don’t look like AI.
Maybe AI learned to look like photographers. 📸
I’ll keep experimenting with real light, real people, weird ideas, projectors, and whatever else it takes to create something you didn’t expect.

I bought a projector not even knowing if this was going to work.

I just had this vision in my head of what I wanted to create, and once an idea gets in there, I HAVE to know if I can pull it off.

So I ordered the projector, used myself as the guinea pig, and started experimenting.

And it WORKED.

I think one of my favorite things about being a photographer is that even after all these years, I’m still curious. I’m still learning. Still trying things that might completely flop. Still getting ridiculously excited when something I pictured in my head actually comes to life.

I hope I never lose that.

Because every time I learn something new or push myself creatively, I have something new to bring to the people who trust me with their portraits.

Also… somehow we are already heading into fall 😳 and my calendar is starting to fill up. So if you’ve been thinking, “I need to book with Jenny,” this is your little nudge to actually do it.

I genuinely had no idea if this was going to work. 😂
I had a projector, an idea, and a vision for using a cross to create something dramatic completely in camera.
Sometimes my favorite portraits come from throwing out the rulebook, experimenting with light, and seeing what happens.

It's not AI… it's a projector. 😏

I love figuring out how to create wild effects IN CAMERA—and this time that meant projecting the universe directly onto myself.

Could I fake it digitally? Sure. But experimenting, breaking the rules and figuring out how to actually create the shot is half the fun.

This is what happens when you give a slightly unhinged photographer a projector. 😂🌌
