My daughters grew up in the online era where perfection, filters, fake profiles, and photos of only the good parts of life are the norm. I see how it plagued their psyche, increased anxiety and the fight for self-esteem.

We have witnessed this in ourselves and our children. I am no different in comparing myself to others and allowing comparison to steal my joy and fears to hold me back at times.

Nothing is more endearing than when someone shows up as their real selves and shares their deepest vulnerabilities. I am beyond proud of my daughter, , as she launches her new YouTube channel, sharing her growth journey into adulthood, her battle with fear, anxiety, doubt, and all the things most of us have experienced one or many times.

Please take some time to watch her first and second videos and subscribe to the channel to follow along in her journey into womanhood and going after her dreams in LA, all while being genuine and raw. Please share with your friends and others who can relate and will find her content helpful.

Tomorrow, we will leave for the long drive to Encino, CA, where she will live with a friend from Dallas. She is driven and determined but will need ongoing prayers from us all.

Next time you compare yourself to people's beautiful lives online, remember there is pain, hurt, and a big mess behind them. We are all on this journey together. Let’s lift one another along the way.

My mom heart is full of joy today. Spent the day with my girls making memories and new traditions. I'm grateful for their support over the last year as we all traverse our new lives.

Navigating divorce with adult children comes with a different set of challenges, many of which I didn't expect.

I am learning every day about myself, my daughters, and being a mom in a new way.

I mess up. There is no handbook for parenting during normal times, let alone through divorce. I am tough on myself, holding myself to standards that I often can't keep up with.

Now, I'm working on giving myself grace and understanding. More importantly, I am working on open and honest communication with my girls, reaching out to them and friends in times of despair and need.

Merry Christmas to you and yours! Hold the ones you love close and cherish every moment to make memories.

There are days like today that are visibly overcast. No sun and now rain.

You may feel overcast inside also because of multiple things.

Get up. Get dressed. Do your hair, your makeup or whatever you do to make yourself feel put together.

When I'm dressed in my way, I feel better. I'm prepared to conquer whatever crap the day throws at me with a more positive attitude and I've got this gumption.

Don't wallow. Get up and get going.

Today marks a special day in my family. My father is a Marine. Both of my brothers are Marines and... just 2 days ago my kick ass daughter, Carlen Payne , received her Eagle, Globe and Anchor after a 2.5 day forge during her 12 week Officer Candidate School in Quantico, VA.

This young lady has fought for the last 6 years to get to this point. I have never been so proud.

Happy Birthday Marines. Thank you to all who are serving and have served.

Transforming isn’t just about change; it’s about purposefully crafting my dream life. I'm setting goals, building strategies, and taking it one step at a time toward a future where I wake up energized and following God’s will for my life.

Every small step feels like a victory, a flutter of my wings against the challenges. There is much more to come. Stay with me friends. I’ll be unveiling greatness soon.

When I think about transformation, I feel like a butterfly waiting to escape its cocoon. It’s tough to shake off old habits and beliefs, but how liberating it will be to finally spread my wings! I’m learning to let go of what holds me back, embracing the freedom to explore who I am meant to be on a more significant scale.

This transformation is a daily effort, sometimes quite painful, but I know there is so much more on the other side. I keep doing the work. Keep leaning on God, friends, mentors, and loved ones.

I will keep pressing forward, leaving doubts behind and being open to all that can be.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Here's a little fun fact about me!

I marched in the New York City St. Patrick's Day parade as a baton twirler when I was in the Fair Lawn (New Jersey) marching corp. It was not a very warm day like today but very chilly if I recall correctly. However, it was an amazing experience and an honor to be in this parade.

Remember that you make your own luck. Follow God's will for your life, stay the course no matter how hard, and surround yourself with supportive people who love you for who you are.

I will challenge gender stereotypes, discrimination, & bias.

I imagine a world free of bias stereotypes and discrimination. A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all .

Last week I finished my first semester as Adjunct Professor at TCC teaching small business/entrepreneurship.

It was challenging but rewarding. I have a huge respect for all teachers.

I'm slated to teach again in the Spring.

I'm grateful for the understanding of my students while I learned the teaching process along the way.
