It is with heavy hearts to inform you that we lost one of our EMC family members, Dr. Kenneth Adams, on January 9, 2021. Dr. Adams had been a physician with our group for nearly 17 years working at Texas Health Fort Worth and subsequently at Texas Health Burleson where he was a beloved backbone of the team.

Greetings everyone!

We are beyond thrilled that we have reached our goal and above in such a short amount of time. Together we have raised $15,000 in five days!! Since we have reached our initial goal sooner than expected, Jennifer and I are going to move forward with our $10,000 match, so that those funds can start to be utilized. I know this group doesn’t shy away from a challenge and some friendly competition, so we have upped the ante with a new goal…

Goal #2: Let’s do our best to beat Southlake company, Sabre Technology, for donations. They’re currently at $27,500. After our match, we’re only $2,000 behind them. Let’s see how much of an impact we can make together for those in need most during the holidays. Remember, just one dollar creates five meals.

Dear Colleagues,

Each year, we at EMC of TeamHealth receive no greater joy than getting into the holiday spirit by giving back to our communities. In previous years we’ve been able to support charitable efforts like Diaper Run, Habitat for Humanity, Angel Trees and more. 2020 has been incredibly difficult for everyone, especially those already experiencing great hardship before COVID-19 hit. This year we are hosting an online fundraiser with Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) in the fight against hunger.

Tarrant Area Food Bank’s mission is to provide food assistance to low-wage workers and their families, senior citizens living on fixed incomes, victims of family violence and of disasters, the chronically ill, the severely disabled, the homeless, the under-employed and the temporarily and long-term unemployed. More than one third of those served by Tarrant Area Food Bank and its network are children. Every dollar you give will help provide five meals for people in need.

The Goal: We are setting a goal of $10,000 dollars and at 6 p.m. on December 24th, Jennifer and I will log on and match the donation amount to TAFB up to $10,000. Imagine, if we reach or exceed our $10,000 donation goal, with the potential $10,000 match, a total of $20,000 could provide 100,000 meals to those who are in need and struggling during these uncertain times.

Donna Ewing Grazetti celebrated 15 years with EMC of TeamHealth this month! Congratulations, Donna!

We have unfortunately missed a few work anniversaries due to social distancing. We hope to catch up on the pictures later this year. But we want to recognize the March - June anniversaries!

Irene Chavira celebrated 29 years (!!!!!) in March.

Mike Ahner celebrated 8 years in May (though he has worked along side EMC for 20+ years).

Sean Baker celebrated 8 years in May.

Even though we are practicing social distancing, we can still say Happy Doctor’s Day and a big THANK YOU to all of the physicians who are working so hard to help keep the community safe and healthy. All of us at EMC of TeamHealth truly appreciate it. Happy Doctor’s Day!!
