It is a great honor for the community to recognize the work you do.

For the last 7 years, I have worked diligently in my divine calling ~ helping folx enhance their internal infrastructure to mirror their radical principles & values.

When you decide to do the hard, challenging, & mostly, unseen work of fueling perseverance and righteousness into the lives of activistpreneurs, you get skipped over for a lot of things.

I get it ~ the work is not “sexy”

Grants, loans, speaking engagements, contracts ~ you name it, I’ve probably been skipped for it. I even found out I was dubbed $20k out of a full-time position. And I still, to this day, I advocate for the community where I got jipped out of that money.

Because Black liberation is my business.

100 plus. . . . no scratch that, 175 PLUS businesses, organizations, and freelancers later, I am locked in now more than ever, to help those of us who want to do our work differently, stand boldly in the sacrifice of our decision to bring liberation to our people.

To all of the activistpreneurs silently doing the work, wondering if you will be seen ~ this one is for you. This one is for us.

The s**t is hard work.

Last week, we took a visit to the archives with the Dallas TRHT team, and local food justice task force members to do some root cause analysis

The archives is full of hidden gems ~ taking the materials and creating stories and truths based on what you see is magical.

Our current conversations in the Village have centered on content creation.

Last month, we offered a workshop that offered a process for creating monthly content.

We realized there’s an opportunity to reframe the concept of ‘content creation’ for Activistpreneurs.

What if we changed the process to ‘archiving’? Documenting the beauty in our work because it’s worthy of remembering? Because we know for certain we’ll be in history books one day and we want to have all of the evidence available to support whatever new theory comes to fruition? What if this is our way of seeing ourselves into the future?

Here are some of the ideas we shared in the Village to support our members content creation (oops, we mean archiving 🤭) journeys for Black history and Black Futures Month.
