Fort Worth didn’t become an aerospace hub overnight.

Long before the skyline filled in and the population surged, companies like Convair were laying the groundwork for something much bigger. During World War II, the city became a critical center for aircraft production, bringing innovation, jobs, and a new identity to the region.

What started as a strategic wartime effort evolved into a lasting industry. Today, that same legacy continues through companies like Lockheed Martin and the many manufacturers and suppliers supporting modern aviation.
