1- Steam Clean With Wet Paper Towels. For an even easier trick, get a few paper towels wet and microwave them for a few minutes — start with two and don’t exceed five. Then, let them sit until they’re cool enough to handle. Once they are, use them to wipe down the microwave and throw them away when you’re done.

2- Cast A Spell with Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. For a really dirty microwave with caked-on food, it’s time to bust out a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. First, wet the Magic Eraser and squeeze the excess water out. Then, start scrubbing! Let the Magic Eraser do most of the work for you — you shouldn’t need to scrub too hard before food splatter and baked-on messes practically disappear. Once the microwave looks sparkling clean, go ahead and give a quick wipedown with just water so it’s ready to use when you need it.

Get Scrubby Wit It (Baking Soda, That Is!) Make an abrasive paste with baking soda, let it sit on spots with hardened food residue for five minutes. Then use a sponge, cloth, or paper towels to scrub it off and watch those spots in your microwave disappear before your eyes.

✨How to Clean a Refrigerator ✨

While your fridge is busy keeping food fresh and cool, it can start to show some wear and tear. Keep yours sparkling with these easy refrigerator cleaning tips for routine care and deep cleans.

✨How to Clean Refrigerator Shelves and Drawers✨

First, remove and hand-wash removable refrigerator shelves, wire racks, and drawers in hot water and mild dish soap. Let any glass components warm up to room temperature before bringing them in contact with hot water; otherwise, they might crack. Cover stubborn food spills with a warm, wet cloth for a few minutes to soften the spills before removal with a nonabrasive scrubber. Pay special attention to the bottom of wire racks, which is a spot that attracts debris.

✨How to Clean the Fridge Interior✨

For drawers and shelves you can't remove, along with the sides of the internal compartment, grab baking soda and some water. Clean inside your fridge with a mixture of 1 part baking soda and 7 parts water. Beware of commercial cleaners as their scent might transfer to food. Work from top to bottom to prevent drips from landing on already-clean surfaces. Use a toothbrush designated for cleaning or toothpicks to reach cracks and crevices you can't get to with a cloth, such as hinges and other hardware. Wipe everything dry with a clean towel.

✨How to Remove Fridge Odors✨

Your refrigerator can foster an ideal environment for bad odors unless you take necessary action. Fortunately, you can tackle foul refrigerator smells without using any harsh chemical cleaners. Once you've rinsed and dried all surfaces, deodorize your refrigerator by filling an open container with dry baking soda and leaving it on the bottom shelf. This will absorb any future odors from lingering near your food, so keep it there when you refill your fridge.

Once your refrigerator is clean and deodorized, put everything back. Now is also a good time to declutter and organize your fridge. Toss any expired or spoiled food, group like items together, and consider using bins and containers to corral items.

1. Declutter Old, Broken Toys

The first step to organizing a playroom successfully is to thin the toy inventory. First, go through on your own and throw out broken toys or games that are missing pieces. Then, invite your kids to go through and declutter toys that they’ve outgrown or don’t play with anymore. Involve them in the process – ask them if they would like to donate some of their toys for another kid who might need it.

2. Choose Clear Bins for Toy Organization

One of the best storage ideas for playrooms is to use see-through containers. When your kids are on the hunt for a specific toy, they can see the contents of the bins without having to dump them all out. Just remember to ditch the lids, as little hands can struggle with them.

3. Create “Homes” for Their Favorite Toys

Every child has a favorite toy. Why not give it its own little home? Whether it’s a garage for their beloved racecars or a bed for their stuffed animals, creating a home for their special toys will make organizing toy room clutter fun for your kids.

4. Have a Plan for Storing Small Pieces

Legos and other toys with small parts need their own designated toy organizing systems.

5. Choose Kid-Friendly Playroom Storage

Though tall storage cabinets can save floor space, they also prevent your kids from being able to clean up on their own. Choose playroom storage with short, open shelving that’s easy for little ones to reach.

6. Use Playroom Mats

Hot wheels scraping up your hardwood? Barbie heels digging into your carpet? Playroom mats are a great way to protect your flooring from wear and tear during play time. Plus, they can be incorporated into fun playroom organization activities for kids.

7. Create Cleanup Games for Kids

In the words of Mary Poppins, “In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun.” This goes for cleanup time in the playroom too.

Don't you feel comfortable using chemicals to clean your oven? We will teach you how to clean the oven with a super simple homemade solution!

Forget auto-clean. This high-temp oven setting is known to set off the fire alarm and can leave your kitchen in a smelly funk. Instead, fill up a spray bottle with a homemade solution of 1/3 cup water, 1/3 cup white vinegar, and 1/2 cup baking soda. When the oven is cool, remove the grates and coat the inside with the solution, making sure to avoid the heating elements. Close the door and head to bed, letting the solution work its magic for up to 12 hours. When you wake up, clean the oven with soapy water and dry using a plush cloth.

Voilà! The magic is done!!

1- Clean your garbage disposal.
Notice a lingering stink in your kitchen? If so, check the sink. "To get rid of the odor in your garbage disposal, spritz a dollop of lemon-scented dish soap down into the disposal, run the water, then turn it on," says interior designer Keita Turner. You can also run lemon or lime rinds through the disposal, followed by lots of water. If the smell persists, pour a 1/2 cup of baking soda into the garbage disposal while running warm water.

2- Refresh carpets and rugs.
Unlike tile and hardwood floors, plush carpets absorb stench like no other, especially after countless food spills and pet messes. Sprinkle baking soda all over the carpet — not just problem areas, and let sit for a few hours before vacuuming. The same method works for pet beds and mattresses, if you want to tackle other pain points in your house.

3- Simmer herbs and fruit on the stove.*
"I learned this from my crafty and cleaning-obsessed mother," says interior designer Rhobin DelaCruz. "Simmer water in a small saucepan and add citrus slices and herbs, like lavender or mint." The heat permeates the sweet scent throughout your house, and can easily be customized depending on what ingredients you have in the house.

1- Clean the tub and shower.
Spray with cleaner and scrub the walls and the basin in a circular motion from top to bottom. Spray the entire area with plain water to rinse off the cleaner, and wipe it down again with a damp cloth.

2-Do the medicine cabinet.
Empty the contents, placing them in the sink, then mist the walls and the shelves with cleaner and wipe with a cloth. Scrub any dirty areas with a toothbrush.

3-Scrub the sink.
Wipe the sink and the vanity top with a damp cloth and dishwashing liquid or cleaner. Rinse completely and go over the area a second time. Scrub the drain with a toothbrush and scrape buildup from the joints between the sink and the counter with the edge of an old credit card.

4-Wipe the faucet and fixtures.
Use a cloth spritzed with cleaner. Buff with a clean cloth.

5-Shine the mirror.
Spritz a cloth with glass cleaner or dip it in dishwashing liquid and water.

6-Clean the cabinets.
Lightly dampen a cloth with water and cleaner, and work in the direction of the grain, from top to bottom. Rinse and repeat. Polish the k***s.

7-Disinfect the toilet.
Scrub both the inside and the outside. Or toss two antacid tablets into the bowl, let them dissolve for 20 minutes, then brush stains away with a toilet brush.

8-Clean the wastebasket.
Spray both the inside and the outside of the wastebasket with all-purpose cleaner, and wipe it down with a cloth.

9-Unclog the air vents.
Dust or vacuum with a brush attachment.

10-Mop the floor.
Using a sponge and cleaner diluted in water, and starting from the farthest corner of the room, work toward the door, going left to right. Dip the mop into the bucket of cleaner, wring it out, and push it over a manageable section of the floor. Then dip the mop into a pail of clean water, wring it out, and mop the section again.

Wet the entire surface of your sink with warm water. Sprinkle baking soda onto the sink and rub it in with a soft cloth or sponge until it forms a paste. The alkali nature of baking soda will remove stains, soap scum, crusted toothpaste and sticky hair. Plus, it will leave your sink with a nice shine!
