The human metabolome contains over 200,000 types of metabolites. It's the full set of small molecules โ called metabolites โ in our body, measurable in a biological fluid like blood or urine. Metabolites are produced by our own cells and our gut microbiome, and are also taken in through the food we eat. Metabolome composition varies between people. Diet and gut microbiome have a stronger role than genetics in shaping metabolome variation between individuals.
Metabolomics is the study of metabolomes. Our metabolome is a record of what's happening in our body. Olaris uses metabolomics, machine learning, and biology to build and power diagnostics that reveal what is happening in disease. Find out more: myolaris.com
