Arctic Snow & Ice Control Inc.

Arctic Snow & Ice Control Inc. Arctic Snow & Ice Control is Chicagoland's #1 snow removal service, with the largest snow equipment

We have over 300 Seasonal operators and Full time staff members who share an unparalleled dedication to snow and ice control. From the operators behind the wheel of our equipment to our office staff, each member of the Arctic team works to provide our customers the highest quality service in the industry. History:
Three decades ago, in 1978, Arctic Snow and Ice Control Founder Randy Strait began

plowing professionally with a Western snowplow fitted onto a 1977 Chevy Blazer. One year later, during a record breaking snow season in Chicagoland, Strait would establish himself as a dependable snow removal service, and set him on the path to creating Arctic Snow and Ice Control. Each operator at the company follows a strict guideline to ensure every customer receives professional and efficient plowing. Taking the time to do the job the right way is one of the company's fundamental philosophies. At Arctic Snow and Ice Control, snow is not an afterthought, it is our only thought. Facts:
Sidewalks:
*90% of all slip and falls occur when there is less than 1 inch of snow Keeping sidewalks clear can save businesses money; less accidents means lower insurance rates

*Winter storms can occur at any time, don't let them put your business on ice.

*Using a 6 man team, Arctic will quickly plow and salt walkways as well as service areas behind buildings. Our employees are part of your community and are available at a moment's notice. Ice Control:
You won't even notice ice was on your parking lot when your ice trucks are finished. We house a fleet of vehicles that not only carry 9 tons of de-icing salt, but are also fitted with snow plows. Our stock pile of salt ensures we're always prepared for the worst. Our de-icing salt is a sodium-free product that will leave your concrete and landscaping unharmed.

*Avoid black ice, a thin and dangerous layer of ice over asphalt

*To ensure salt is effective, Arctic scrapes as much frozen snow off as possible before de-icing begins

*Even small accumulations of ice can be dangerous to motorists and pedestrians

Snow Relocation:
Why wait for other companies to rent wheel loaders and dump trucks? Should a large storm hit, we have all the necessary equipment on hand to remove snow to an off-site location.

*Snow relocation is done after business hours to increase productivity and decrease work hours

*Decrease client and contractor liability exposure due to lack of visibility

*Provide a safer clear site, reducing obstructions and increasing pavement areas
The Arctic staff includes skilled mechanics that perform year round maintenance on our equipment. Mechanics are prepared to go out into the field and repair equipment anywhere at anytime. We use our patented Sectional- plows on every property increasing efficiency and reducing salt usage which equates to savings for our customers. Arctic's 400 piece fleet is prepared for any storm at any time. Our satellite storm center monitors the weather all season long and is prepared to dispatch our fleet at a minutes notice.
