Seek Shelter

“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. ”
—Psalm 46:1

Meteorologically speaking, “times of trouble” in the summer months usually involve thunderstorms or tornadoes. When the conditions are right, the National Weather Service issues a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning that encourages people to seek shelter.
Spiritually speaking, “times of trouble” may include anything from a scary medical diagnosis to a financial setback.
Whatever the situation, the recommendation is the same: seek shelter. And that shelter is God. The more intense the hardship, the closer we must draw to Him.
One of the best ways to draw close to God is through prayer. But how should we pray? There’s nothing wrong with asking God to remove a hardship. Jesus did. Just before He was arrested, Jesus prayed, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine” (Matthew 26:39 NLT).
The apostle Paul did. According to 2 Corinthians 12:5–10, Paul suffered from what he called “a thorn in [his] flesh” (NLT). Three times Paul prayed, begging the Lord to take away the thorn.
God didn’t deliver Jesus from His hardship. Nor did He deliver Paul. Instead, God reminded them that He was accomplishing something important through their hardship. He reassured them that His will was being done. He made His presence felt in a profound way during their hardship, but He didn’t deliver them.
If we pray for deliverance from our hardship, God may grant our request. He may show His power by removing the hardship in a dramatic and unmistakable way. But what if He doesn’t? What if He allows us to experience hardship for a season as part of His bigger plan, as He did with Jesus and Paul? What should we pray for then?
We can pray for perseverance, the ability to endure our hardship with a trusting and faithful spirit. 🙏❤️🙏

Good morning my Wonderful Facebook Friends. It has been an incredible journey with the tragic death of my Grandson, Donald Emanuel Davis, Jr. aka DJ! I would like to thank you all for every prayer, phone call, and every act of kindness you showed during this difficult time! The many words of Comfort, enlightened our ability to bear this painful, senseless, death! Through it all, our God kept us and now it is His Peace that sustains me! DJ never finished school but the book he wrote gives Hope to his comrades and family. If DJ died believing that Jesus was born of a woman, the only Begotten Son of God, He died and God raised him from the dead, now sitting on the right hand of God making intercessions for you and me, then DJ is not dead, he’s just asleep with that Great Cloud of Witnesses the writer Hebrew talked about! I get so excited about the Word of God and it assures us that we will see him again, in the resurrection! He was not perfect, nor are we! New Mercies everyday, Hallelujah, thank you Jesus! His death has left a profound impact on all who knew him. I can’t bring him back physically but I can live for Christ, so that one day, I can go where he is! To all of his Friends, let me introduce you to the Best OG that ever lived! He traveled with a posse of 12 and He was very Radical , not well liked, but very effective in healing the sick and all manner of diseases , even raised the dead! His Name is JESUS, THE CHRIST! SEEK HIM NOW! He’s nearer than you think, only a breath away! I can’t work alone, it takes a village! I can’t put you in Heaven, but I can show you the way! It’s obvious, your way is not The Way! There is a way that seemeth right to man but the end thereof is death and destruction!!!The Drugs and violence has to stop NOW! I’m only a phone call away, Love MawMaw Becky🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️

When you’re a bigger size woman like me, people often like to say "Yea … she has such a pretty face” … As if being full figured is such a disgrace. Honey, I’m cute in the face ~ and I’m thick in the waist … I look good whether I’m in cotton, jeans or lace. I’m beautiful, vibrant, quite smart, and above all else I treat people with fairness and respect! There's more to me than my weight, I also have a heart of gold!! Yes, my clothes may be a bigger size, that just means I'm a bigger prize. We are not all self-conscious about our weight. So don’t think a smaller frame gives you more pull, I’m a fabulous curvy woman with a figure that's full, but I’ve ALWAYS believed that my heart is bigger than my waist - and that’s what matters most!!! So let’s lift each other up no matter what size we are... We all have feelings and should never be prejudged based on the numbers on a scale.
Beauty comes from the size of your heart ♥️ and not the size of your jeans.
COPY AND PASTE IF YOUR PROUD TO BE A FULL FIGURE WOMAN..,I Love Me Some Me, All By Myself. Amen 🙏 🤲
