What an exciting Saturday night at the Quickdraw to raise money for art teachers in WNC Schools. I spent the night demonstrating tablet weaving hat bands and my 2 hats that were part of the silent auction both sold for the prices I was hoping for. The event raised over $30,000 and enjoyed meeting other artists.

Go to coweeschool.org. to register and not miss the chance to take Charles Gandy embellished knitting class May 5th 2023 at the Cowee Valley Quilt & Fiber Celebration. Sarah Howard will be doing a live Zoom from England on taking your yarn to a finished woven outfit. You know her from Get Weaving with Sarah. Ruth Duckworth will be teaching a wet felting class. A fashion show on May 6 and hundreds of quilts on display all at the Cowee School Arts & Heritage Center in Franklin N.C.
