Phone systems have changed a lot. Most businesses are moving away from traditional on-premise PBX setups and toward cloud-hosted VoIP systems, and for good reason.

Cloud-hosted systems are easier to scale, typically cost less to maintain, and let your team take calls from anywhere. On-premise systems still make sense in certain situations, especially where internet reliability is a concern or where there are specific compliance requirements.
