A lot of people think a clean air test means a clean home, but that’s not always true.

Mold hides in places you don’t see, behind drywall, inside walls, and in areas that look completely fine on the surface, which is why it so often goes unnoticed.

That’s where Gus comes in.

On a recent pre-purchase inspection of a one-year-old model home, Gus found windows with missing caulking, a window already beginning to bow from water intrusion, and open seams in the moisture barrier that were never sealed.

Ashley knew something was wrong in her home.

Gus marks it and we go in. That’s where the real inspection happens.

In this case, that led to visible water discoloration in the attic/crawlspace which are signs of a moisture issue that had been there for some time.

What you don’t see behind walls or above ceilings often tells a bigger story than what’s visible from the living space.
