The proud heritage of the Town of Norway, dates back to 1839, when a group of 40 Norwegian immigrants settled the area because of the rich growing soil. The first Norwegian Lutheran Church in America, was build here in 1843. Growing from that, in 1847 the

Town of Norway was officially established and governed. Today, some 182 years later, Spirits of Norway Vineyard continues to utilize the rich soil by growing winter hardy, hybrid wine grapes. After careful consideration, their selection of grapes include Marquette, Brianna, Marechal Foch, Frontenac, Frontenac Blanc, Frontenac Gris, Catawba, Somerset, Itasca, St.

🍇 Experience Harvest at Spirits of Norway Vineyard! 🍇

One of our favorite days of the year is almost here—and a limited number of guests are invited to join us in the vineyard for our first grape harvest of the 2026 season on September 12!

Harvest is a unique opportunity to step behind the scenes and become part of the w**emaking process. You’ll spend the morning among the vines, hand-picking ripe grape clusters alongside our team and fellow w**e lovers. Once the final fruit is picked, we’ll celebrate the morning’s work with a complimentary volunteer lunch.

Harvest Day Details:

• Arrival: 7:00 AM
• Harvest begins: 7:30 AM
• Harvest concludes when all the fruit has been picked—usually around 12:30 PM
• Complimentary lunch follows the harvest

Harvest takes place rain or shine. Participants of all ages are welcome as long as they can comfortably lift 20–25 pounds.

Our harvest experiences have limited availability, and reservations are required. To request your spot, email [email protected] with your name, phone number, and the number of volunteers in your party.
