Here are our notable placements from the GWAS/RMAS double show this last weekend: Shambalah's Thomas Reserve Champion Halter - this is his 29th banner and represents the winningest alpaca I've ever bred; TSSS Ava's Lantana-ET Reserve Champion Halter at almost 8 years old; Shambalah's Jolene Color Champion Walking Fleece; and while not a champion I didn't have a good picture of this adorable nugget Twisted Heart Eli's Gold 2nd Place Halter. Not shown as we have a million pictures of his magnificence Pucara Puresuri Kahuna's Lexus Reserve Champion Halter - The Big Man Himself - winning yet another banner at almost 13 years of age!

We are home from the 2026 Futurity and it was - as Rusty Shackelford said to me - Strikes and Gutters. On the Strike side, Shambalah's Thomas won his 28th Champion banner. The rest of our placements were inconsequential. On the Gutter side, Shambalah's David Allen Coe passed away at the venue. On the Strike side, I had the opportunity to witness the very best of the Alpaca Community as we navigated through his illness and ultimate last journey. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by the best people. Finally, The Futurity changed out their beloved trophies for something a bit more contemporary....and a LOT more gangsta! I told Abby Shelhart if we both won championships we would take a Gangsta Shot with the show photographer. I think the picture speaks for itself...

We had a great double show at TXOLAN - much better than anticipated. Here are our highlights:
Shambalah's David Allen Coe 1st place (1st show and tough competition!); Shambalah's Jolene Reserve Champion Walking Fleece (also her first show); Shambalah's Layla Reserve Champion at both shows; Shambalah's Thomas Color Champion and a very bad alpaca that wouldn't stand still hence the look on my face; Pucara Puresuri Kahuna's Lexus Color Champion at 12.5 years old and a breeding male (he's simply amazing); TSSS Ava's Lantana-ET Color Champion and JUDGE'S CHOICE as a 7.5 year old breeding female! And a really cool picture - this is Lexus and his GRANDSON SAFS Sir Milo by Aston. Lexus won Color Champion and Milo won the reserve. Lexus is the sire of Milo's dam, Shambalah's Sara Smile who won EVERYTHING at the fleece show (champion, judge's choice, Spirit of the Industry, etc.). The Legacy of Lexus continues....

....and last but certainly not least, our last 2026 Invited Champion - Shambalah's Amos Moses!

***UPDATE: TRAILER IS SOLD!*** Got laid off from my job so it's time to sell this GREAT TRAILER! Tows so well you don't even know it's back there! Floors are completely solid. All lights, doors and windows are intact and work. Trailer has been used to haul alpaca for many years and was used for eventing horses before that. Tires are pretty much new. This is a complete deal if you are looking for a reliable trailer at a fabulous price. By the way, if you are a scammer I will say bad, nasty words to you so don't even bother to respond to this ad if you are a bad actor - I'm so not kidding! $7000
