What happens when the school week ends, but hunger doesn’t?

The Professional Women in Building Council is proud to support Blessings in a Backpack, and we have set a BIG goal for the 2026–2027 school year: help provide hunger-free weekends for 50 children right here in Frederick County.

1 in 5 children in Frederick County experiences food insecurity, and more than 15,000 local students rely on free or reduced-price meals during the school week. For many of these children, Friday afternoon brings uncertainty about where their next meal will come from.

Join us for our August Happy Hour at Brewer's Alley Restaurant on Wednesday, August 19 from 4–7 PM to support the cause!

💗 $5 feeds one child for a weekend
🎒 $175 supports one child for the school year
