Sustainable Energy Systems is a renewable energy design and installation business based out of Frederick, Maryland, and operating in the mid-Atlantic region since 2008. Our goal is to help create a sustainable energy future by installing the most efficient, cost-effective solar energy systems possible.

Job requirements include:

Sorting and Receiving Shipments
Preparing and packaging shipments for solar installation projects
Maintaining warehouse and parking lot cleanliness and organization
Carrying up to 50 lbs,
Use of hand tools and power tools
Driving Trucks and trailers up to 16'
Working with a team
Customer service
A person who excels at this job enjoys physically challenging work and getting work done in a positive fashion while promoting and expanding the use of renewable energy.

Some form of prior warehouse or shipping experience is preferred, but not necessary. Paid Time Off (PTO) is included with this job at a rate of 1 hour earned per week of employment for a total of 6.5 days per year. PTO increases with Tenure.

This job is paid hourly, onsite, and you will be working with a team of other associates. Overtime is offered at 150% for hours worked over 40 hours per week.

Employee-paid health insurance is offered after 60 days of employment.

Solar experience is not required but is valued. Applicants should have some form of prior construction experience. Applicants should already be comfortable using hand tools, impact drills, Sawzall's and hammer drills.

Solar Installers work 10 hours on site per day on average and work 4 days a week. Job site locations vary.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

The ground mount portion of our install at Greenbelt Homes is complete. We turned this previously barren area into a small power source. 28.8 kW of plus the rooftop system for a total of 158.6 kW.

The Greenbelt Co-op Supermarket and Pharmacy just energized its newly installed 241.6 kilowatt roof-top solar project. The clean, renewable, solar power generated on the building's roof will reduce pollution while also improving the Co-op's bottom line through reduced electricity costs. By generating its own solar power on the store’s roof, the Greenbelt Co-op expects to reduce its electricity bill by $35,000 per year, and the system will pay for itself in about nine years.
