🔍 Now Enrolling: Maryland Security Guard Initial 12-Hour Certification Course

Don't be fined because you started your renewal process late. As of May 26, 2025, the Maryland State Police has changed the fine schedule from the day following your security guard certification expiration date to the first day of the month that you expire. I have seen renewal applicants recently being fine $105 for their renewal that would have cost them $10, all because they did not submit their application on time. NOTE: The training offered on this post is mandated before submitting your renewal application.

We have openings for the Maryland 12 hr mandatory/initial Security Guard course next week, June 17 8/4 & June 18 8/noon in Frederick County. The next class will be July 24 & 25, 2025, same times and location. As of January 1, 2025, ALL New and Renewal applicants in Maryland must take the initinal 12 hr course before their applications are accepted for review.
