It’s and we’re talkin’ crickets today! Not this kind 🦗 but the water diverter on a roof, usually around a chimney or a skylight. Here is one we built yesterday.
Our customer didn’t have an existing way to divert water around the chimney so we added a cricket because: 1) it is building code on any chimney wider than 30,” and 2) it’s best practice in a scenario where the roof slope runs into the wide part of a chimney. This is especially tricky when you are working with aluminum siding but the crew did a great job. Swipe through to see the reverse engineering.
