I’ve been thinking about this home café idea for Adrian’s birthday for months ☕🤎

I actually designed most of the creative stuff way ahead of time… the logo, stickers, menus, signs, labels… all of it. But for some reason, I always do this thing where I get the idea early and then wait until the very last minute to actually start preparing 😂

We’ve already hosted 2 Christmas parties and a 4th of July party, and every single time I tell myself I’ll prepare early… yet somehow, I still end up waiting until the last minute 😅

Between work, deadlines, everyday life, and trying to have some kind of social life, I ended up doing almost everything the week of his birthday. Printing signs, putting stickers on cups, making the magnets, cutting things out, organizing supplies… basically turning our house into a tiny print shop for a few days 😅

But honestly, once I started putting everything together, I remembered why I love doing it so much. I love the creative side of it all… making the tiny café details, matching everything together, and creating little signs that people probably only look at for two seconds 😂

Also… I’m really not good at filming BTS content because once I’m in “creative mode,” I completely forget to record anything. So here’s the little behind-the-scenes footage I managed to get while designing, printing, crafting, and setting everything up ☕✨

On this day, 5 years ago, I made it official. ✨

Before I filed the paperwork and called myself a “real” business owner, I’d already been doing the work... quietly designing, learning, and helping clients with their branding and social media for 8 months. But it was slow. Slow enough that doubt crept in.

I knew I wanted to invest more in my business. I needed a better computer and more advanced software. So I thought, maybe I need a job to help me get there. I applied for a part-time job, half-expecting I wouldn’t get it. I figured if I didn’t, maybe it was life’s way of telling me to go all in. So, I did. I made my business official.

Funny thing is, life had its own plan. The same week I made it official, I got the call... I was hired.

For a while, I did both. Early mornings working on client projects. Part-time job during the day. Nights at my desk again after everyone was asleep.

It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it.

5 years later, I’m still here 🙂 still designing, still learning, still helping people build their brands. And I’m so grateful for every slow start, every late night, every yes, and every no that brought me here.

To my amazing clients... thank you for trusting me with your ideas, for every project, every referral, and every kind word that’s helped me grow.
