I totally get it. When you’ve tried countless weight loss solutions and hacks and nothing sticks, it’s easy to feel skeptical about yet another “diet program.” I’ve been there too, feeling stuck and frustrated.

I LOVE helping people GAIN health and feel amazing by creating healthy habits, surrounding people with community and accountability!!! I have found that Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro are incredible tools for clients! AND In fact several of my current clients are using them along with our lifestyle plans to develop a healthy life.

For me it was my daily supersized Diet Coke 😳 I slowly replaced it with water, then stippled buying it and keeping it at home and over time I no longer wanted or needed that fix. 🥤

Start with one small change in the right direction. You’ll be amazed at how accomplished and motivated you feel once you’ve conquered it. That change will lead to the next one and then next one and so on. The ripple effect is amazing! Soon you’ll be on your way to a healthier you. One healthy habit at a time!

I DO! These tips have helped me and my clients thrive through the holidays and you can too!

💧Drink lots of water! Drinking at least 64 oz before gathering will help control cravings and overeating.

💧Keep a water bottle in your dominate hand to avoid mindless snacking! You can drink the water instead and if your hand is busy your not reaching for unhealthy foods.

🚫 DO NOT save up calories by starving yourself or skipping meals. By the time you eat you’re starving= bad choices and over eating.

🍎 Fuel your body every 2-3 hours with healthy small mini meals (almonds, string cheese, veggies, a healthy fueling).

🍽 Choose a smaller plate and look at all your food options before piling food on your plate. Fill your plate with healthy options like lean protein, fruits and veggies.

🍲If you love all the traditional holiday foods that aren’t the best option for your waistline stuffing- put 2-3 bites on your plate and eat it slowly. Avoid talking so you can savor these bites. 👅Taste sensation comes in the first 2-3 bites and after that you’re just eating to eat.

🥧Avoid trigger foods that you know are your downfall. If you don’t think you can have 2-3 bites without derailing then avoid completely! Sugar is highly addictive.

😴Avoid the carb coma so you can enjoy your day with friends and family!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Make the holiday about family and friends and NOT the food.

☝🏻Lastly, if you have friends or family that struggle with accepting your healthy choices or pressure you to sidetrack enlighten them. Explain to them that you’re working very hard on your health and it’s very important for you to maintain your healthy habits and for others to respect that. It’s ok to prioritize your health and choices!

NATIONAL CHEESEBURGER DAY! 🍔

Here are a few of our favorites with a “healthy twist” and with flavors you will love!

**S̳H̳A̳R̳E̳ ̳T̳H̳I̳S̳ ̳P̳O̳S̳T̳ ̳T̳O̳ ̳S̳A̳V̳E̳ ̳R̳E̳C̳I̳P̳E̳S̳ ̳B̳E̳L̳O̳W̳👇**

**Bacon Cheeseburger Bites
**Cheeseburger Salad
**Jalapeño Cheddar Burger
**Greek Turkey Burger

𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬

INGREDIENTS
1 lb. lean ground beef (93% fat free)
¼ c finely chopped yellow onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 TBSP yellow mustard
1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
½ t salt
Cooking spray
4 slices reduced fat cheese, each cut into 6 evenly-sized pieces
3 pieces of turkey bacon, cooked according to package directions, each cut into 8 evenly-sized pieces
24 dill pickle chips
4-6 large green leaf lettuce leaves, torn into 24 (total) small square shaped pieces
12 cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400°.
Combine the beef, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and salt in a medium-sized bowl and mix well.
Form mixture into 24 small meatballs (approximately one TBSP each). Place meatballs onto a foil-lined baking sheet and bake until cooked through, about 15 minutes. Leave oven on. Top each meatball with a piece of cheese, then return to the oven until cheese melts, about 2-3 minutes. Assemble the bites: on a toothpick layer a cheese-covered meatball, piece of bacon, pickle chip, piece of lettuce and a half tomato, in that order. 6 bites is one serving!

Makes 4 servings
Each serving: 1 Lean, 1 Green, 3 Condiments

𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐝
4.5 ounces lean 95-97% ground beef
1/4 cup 2% shredded cheddar cheese
2 1/2 cups lettuce, shredded
1/4 cup tomatoes, chopped
2 dil pickle spears, chopped
2 tbsp lite wish-bone Thousand Island Dressing
1 serving with 1 lean, 3 greens, 1 healthy fat and 1 snack

𝐉𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐞ñ𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐚𝐫 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬

Ingredients
• 28 oz lean turkey or beef (not extra lean)
• 2 tablespoons finely minced onion
• ¼ tsp salt
• ½ tsp pepper to taste
• 4 tablespoons low fat cream cheese
• 2 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
• ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 fresh jalapeno pepper, diced (seeds removed if you prefer less spice)
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
1. Preheat grill to medium or oven to broil on high.
2. In a small bowl combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder and diced jalapeno.
3. Combine meat, salt & pepper and minced onion. Divide meat into 4 even pieces (7oz each). Take ¼ of the cream cheese mixture and flatten it into a pancake shape. Wrap beef or turkey around the cheese ensuring the cheese mixture is completely covered. Brush each burger with a little bit of olive oil.
To Grill
1. Grill burgers over medium heat for 6-7 minutes on each side or until completely cooked. (Turkey should reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees and beef should reach 160 degrees.)
To Broil
1. Place burgers on a foil covered pan approximately 6” from the broiler. Broil 5-6 minutes on each side or until completely cooked.

Makes 4 servings. Per serving: 1 Leaner protein. 1 1/3 condiment. ¾ fat serving

𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫s
Ingredients:
7 oz raw, ground turkey, 85%-94% lean (should yield 3.75 oz cooked serving)
1 oz reduced fat feta cheese
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup red pepper, chopped
1/4 cup Baby Spinach, chopped

Directions:
Place turkey, feta, red pepper, spinach and seasonings into a mixing bowl. Mix until just combined. Form patties and cook however you like to cook burgers. Grill (indoor or out), cook in hot skillet, or broil under broiler. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side or until an internal thermometer has reached 165 degrees.

Makes 1 serving, per serving you enjoy:
1 Lean | 3/4 of 1 Green | 3 Condiments
