NATIONAL CHEESEBURGER DAY! 🍔
Here are a few of our favorites with a “healthy twist” and with flavors you will love!

**Bacon Cheeseburger Bites
**Cheeseburger Salad
**Jalapeño Cheddar Burger
**Greek Turkey Burger
𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬
INGREDIENTS
1 lb. lean ground beef (93% fat free)
¼ c finely chopped yellow onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 TBSP yellow mustard
1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
½ t salt
Cooking spray
4 slices reduced fat cheese, each cut into 6 evenly-sized pieces
3 pieces of turkey bacon, cooked according to package directions, each cut into 8 evenly-sized pieces
24 dill pickle chips
4-6 large green leaf lettuce leaves, torn into 24 (total) small square shaped pieces
12 cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400°.
Combine the beef, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and salt in a medium-sized bowl and mix well.
Form mixture into 24 small meatballs (approximately one TBSP each). Place meatballs onto a foil-lined baking sheet and bake until cooked through, about 15 minutes. Leave oven on. Top each meatball with a piece of cheese, then return to the oven until cheese melts, about 2-3 minutes. Assemble the bites: on a toothpick layer a cheese-covered meatball, piece of bacon, pickle chip, piece of lettuce and a half tomato, in that order. 6 bites is one serving!
Makes 4 servings
Each serving: 1 Lean, 1 Green, 3 Condiments
𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐝
4.5 ounces lean 95-97% ground beef
1/4 cup 2% shredded cheddar cheese
2 1/2 cups lettuce, shredded
1/4 cup tomatoes, chopped
2 dil pickle spears, chopped
2 tbsp lite wish-bone Thousand Island Dressing
1 serving with 1 lean, 3 greens, 1 healthy fat and 1 snack
𝐉𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐞ñ𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐚𝐫 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬
Ingredients
• 28 oz lean turkey or beef (not extra lean)
• 2 tablespoons finely minced onion
• ¼ tsp salt
• ½ tsp pepper to taste
• 4 tablespoons low fat cream cheese
• 2 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
• ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 fresh jalapeno pepper, diced (seeds removed if you prefer less spice)
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
1. Preheat grill to medium or oven to broil on high.
2. In a small bowl combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder and diced jalapeno.
3. Combine meat, salt & pepper and minced onion. Divide meat into 4 even pieces (7oz each). Take ¼ of the cream cheese mixture and flatten it into a pancake shape. Wrap beef or turkey around the cheese ensuring the cheese mixture is completely covered. Brush each burger with a little bit of olive oil.
To Grill
1. Grill burgers over medium heat for 6-7 minutes on each side or until completely cooked. (Turkey should reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees and beef should reach 160 degrees.)
To Broil
1. Place burgers on a foil covered pan approximately 6” from the broiler. Broil 5-6 minutes on each side or until completely cooked.
Makes 4 servings. Per serving: 1 Leaner protein. 1 1/3 condiment. ¾ fat serving
𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫s
Ingredients:
7 oz raw, ground turkey, 85%-94% lean (should yield 3.75 oz cooked serving)
1 oz reduced fat feta cheese
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup red pepper, chopped
1/4 cup Baby Spinach, chopped
Directions:
Place turkey, feta, red pepper, spinach and seasonings into a mixing bowl. Mix until just combined. Form patties and cook however you like to cook burgers. Grill (indoor or out), cook in hot skillet, or broil under broiler. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side or until an internal thermometer has reached 165 degrees.
