If you’re charging a device on the plane, keep it where you can see it—like on your tray table. Never charge devices in the overhead bin, and never charge e-cigarettes or vapes onboard.

If a battery overheats or starts acting up, keeping it in sight means the flight crew can respond quickly if there’s a problem. 👀

If your device smells strange, feels unusually hot, makes popping noises, changes shape or color, or starts smoking, stop using it immediately. 🔋

25 years later, their courage reminds us to stand together, care for one another, and never take a single day—or the people we love—for granted.
