We’ve been flying into the wind for a few years and now American Dunes Golf Club is officially open to patriots from around the world to come pay tribute to our nation’s heroes. In 2006, the first golf tournament for Folds of Honor was held at Grand Haven Golf Course. We raised $8500. Since then, our mission has never wavered and the game of golf has been instrumental to the mission of Folds and the 29,000 families we’ve served: honor their sacrifice, educate their legacy. To work with my boyhood hero, Mr. Nicklaus, to turn that same course into the only course with a cause, where 100% of profits will go back to Folds of Honor to provide education, opportunity, and equality for the spouses and children of the fallen or disabled defending our freedom is a dream come true.

My prayer for American Dunes is that all who visit will leave inspired to help someone else. When you put service before self, I truly believe you are the one who receives blessings in return. The greatest example in Pardo’s Push hangs at the center of the Squadron Bar. We were honored to have fighter pilot royalty, Bob “Cheetah” Pardo and his backseater Mad Dog, be with us.

This weekend I witnessed God bringing everything that I love together. Big salute to Mr. and Mrs. Nicklaus, the team at American Dunes, the proud patriots who believe in and support our mission, and the less than 1% who put on the uniform every day to defend our freedoms.
