LOT 40. Kenzo Okada (1902-1982) "Voice of Silence" 0/C 45"x 32 3/4" PROV. Parson Gallery NY,NY.

Kenzo Okada was a Japanese-American painter who received international acclaim within the Abstract Expressionist movement. Fusing Western avant-garde techniques with traditional Japanese aesthetics, he became celebrated for his muted, lyrical, and nature inspired canvases.

This particular work is believed to have been gifted to The Institute of Science & Man, Rensselareville, NY (now Hilltown Commons) by the artist during his time there as an artist in residence where it has remained until this auction.
