We will be training in the Melrose Area Public Schools tonight, 8/17, with the Freeport Fire & Rescue Dept. and the Melrose Police Department.

You may see emergency vehicles by the school.

Awesome day of live burn training. Although live burns are rare when we get a chance this type of training is invaluable to us and other local departments. Thanks to Customized Fire Rescue Training Inc. for the instructors and also thanks to our neighbors St. Martin Fire & Rescue for hosting!

Between running wild fires and doing a few controlled burns our new sxs has proven to be an awesome addition to our fleet! This machine has greatly increased our capabilities and we are very thankful for all the support we receive that allowed us to purchase it! 🔥 🚒

This event means even more to us because several members of our Dakota Steel & Trim team proudly serve our Freeport community - Scott Blais, Ethan Harren, and Corey Oevermann with the Freeport Fire Department, along with Brenda Wenker, who dedicated over 20 years to the Melrose Ambulance Service.

We're incredibly grateful for their commitment and proud to support them, not only at the event, but by allowing them to step away from work at any time to respond to emergencies when our community needs them most.
