🌟 There’s something energizing about being in an airplane hanger full of people who genuinely care about the future of our communities. This week, Hopewell Consulting had the opportunity to attend the Ottawa County Improvement Corporation’s Experience Ottawa County event at the Erie-Ottawa International Airport. It was an evening dedicated to celebrating business, entrepreneurship, tourism, and the partnerships that keep our local economy moving forward.
✈️ A huge thank you to Clay Finken and the team at the Erie-Ottawa International Airport for hosting such a fantastic event. The airport is an incredible gateway to our region, and the scenic flight from Griffing Flying Service offered a whole new perspective on the Port Clinton/Catawba Island/Marblehead peninsula.
🍽️ It was also a pleasure catching up with Brendon Scott of the Ohio Restaurant & Hospitality Alliance. As a restaurant, tourism, events consultant, I always appreciate the leadership of those who are advocating for Ohio’s hospitality industry and helping businesses outside of the “3 C’s” succeed.
🌊 I was especially excited to see several Marblehead businesses representing their community, including Studio A, Teriyaki Designs, and Hanging with the Buoys. Watching small businesses connect, collaborate, and tell their stories is exactly the kind of energy that makes our region thrive.
🚌 Another highlight was the team from BB Travel & Tours. I loved hearing about their passion for creating memorable, affordable group travel experiences that help people explore new places while building lasting memories. There’s so much opportunity when tourism, transportation, hospitality, and local destinations work together to create exceptional visitor experiences.
🗣️ I also want to give a shout out to Lake Erie Shores & Islands! This organization supports our region’s businesses like no other and I am so grateful to be a S&I partner.
