I finished the San Jose Rock and Roll half marathon. I didn’t PR but I finished at 2:04 which is pretty decent for me considering how much I hate running.

Mile 1-6 was chill. I was worried about getting injured right before my Nepal trip. First fee miles is just getting warmed up and then cruise my way through.

Mile 7-9 was hell and I got confused thinking I reached mile 9 when I just passed 8. Not to mention when you see the elites passing you while you still have 6 miles to go…

Mile 9-13 the right song came on and I found my stride literally. I started running more efficiently thinking back on the 100 YouTube tutorials I watched on running. Turns out I was running like I was in a treadmill instead of propelling myself forward like I should on the street.

Overall, this run was a great learning experience about not giving up and just trust the process to take me across the finishing line. egg
