Like most humans, I’m almost always in a hurry to get things done. Reach my goals. Build the life I want. Change the world in one way or another.
Unfortunately, this leaves little or no time to reflect and be grateful for the things I have. This week, I made a conscious decision to stop and be grateful for the following things:
1. Life☀️
Most days I’m sure I take life for granted. As I reflected on it, I remembered family whose lives ended too soon. I’m not guaranteed next month, next week, or even tomorrow, and I’m grateful for the life I have and those who surround me.
2. Opportunities🙌🏻
I have a great job I love, family who loves me, and a business that's beginning to thrive. I know not everyone has the same opportunities, and I’m forever grateful for it.
3. The journey🚶♀️
I’ve had great days and really great days! At the same time, I’ve had days when I felt like I’ve had enough. I am grateful that the hard times taught me to be resilient and bounce back.
