Great news just now! One of the Bay Area organizations we work with was just awarded a grant to expand Peer Support opportunities! This is a rare opportunity with funds to support the early stages of their organization and prepare them for the expansion of their work. Congrats!

Are you an educator and a member of the National Education Association? There are $2000 and $5000 grants available! The application deadline is October 15th.

The NEA is accepting applications from educators, specialized instructional support personnel, and education support professionals to:

• develop and implement a project that will enhance students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
• develop and implement a project supporting personalized and experiential learning;
• support students’ mastery of essential academic content;
• support students’ cultural understanding and appreciation;
• promote students’ communication and collaboration skills; or
• enable students to engage in learning experiences connected to real-world issues and challenges

Apply for a Student Success Grant from the NEA Foundation, a public charity founded by educators for educators to improve public education for all.

Happy 3-day weekend! We have been so busy helping organizations move their ideas forward. Most recently we've connected with Create the Space, Black Men Speak, and Project 43. All lifting up Black voices. Honored to work with them!!

Great insight from Dr. Bruce Perry! "Your ability to be curious and explore the world is directly related to your ability to feel safe and settled, and so kids that don’t feel safe don’t want to see new things. They want to go back to things that are safe and familiar. People who feel safe get bored with the safe and familiar and go out and explore the world... But if you are under threat, people under threat aren’t very curious." Provide safety so that you can encourage curiosity in children and adults.
