Our team was excited to participate in the United Way Fresno and Madera Counties Job Fair and Economic Mobility Resource Fair on October 9! 🤝

It was a great opportunity to connect with community members and partner organizations while sharing resources that can help create greater economic opportunity in our local communities.
From no-cost business coaching and technical assistance to funding opportunities, APC was proud to highlight the different ways we support entrepreneurs and small business owners at every stage of their journey.

Reminder: Don’t wait until tax season to get organized. 🧾

There’s still time to register for Access Plus Capital’s Tax Preparation & Readiness Workshop, presented in partnership with In the Black Business Services.

This in-person workshop will help small business owners prepare for tax season with practical guidance on organizing financial records, understanding tax requirements, identifying potential deductions, and gathering key documents.

Participants will also leave with helpful worksheets, checklists, and a clear action plan to make tax preparation smoother and less stressful.

Meet Joyce Talag, founder of Joyful Transformations LLC and The Leadership Voice Studio, the Chicago division of Joyful Transformations LLC.

Joyce began her journey in Bakersfield with a vision to help leaders strengthen their confidence, communication skills, and professional presence. With support from Access Plus Capital, she was able to open her first physical location and invest in the tools, mentorship, and resources needed to take her business to the next level.

Sweet news from Downtown Fresno! 🍪🎉

Access Plus Capital was excited to celebrate the Dad’s Cookies Ribbon Cutting on October 3 alongside a great turnout from the community. APC’s Nigel Kirk and Kattia Gomez were there to join in the celebration as Lance Sanchez, founder of Dad's Cookies, and the Dad’s Cookies team welcomed everyone into their new brick-and-mortar location in downtown Fresno’s Brewery District.

The event was well attended, with strong community support and assistance from the Downtown Fresno Partnership. Dad’s Cookies is also the first business to open at The Garage — an exciting milestone for both the business and the neighborhood.

You can visit their new cafe at 760 Fulton St. Congratulations to Dad’s Cookies on this exciting new chapter! 🍪👏
