Harvest is one of our favorite times of the year—and one of the hardest.

Our crew has been working day and night bringing in this year’s crop and beginning the journey from vineyard to bottle.

The beautiful green grapes pictured are our Fiano, and under the lights is our wonderful vineyard manager, Fatima, night-picking our Petite Sirah. The handsome gentleman holding a cluster is Mr. Eriq Davila our hard working head winemaker. We are days away from picking our Teroldego, Albarino, Cabernet and Tempranillo.

Wine is truly a labor of love. Long days in the vineyard, late nights during harvest, months of farming and tending the vines, and then the careful work in the cellar that follows. There are much easier ways to make a living—but few that bring us this much joy.

We do it because we love the land, we love growing grapes, we love making wine, and we love sharing what we produce with our Dorval members and community.

Every vintage begins right here—in the vineyard, with our people and our grapes.

A huge thank you to Fatima Our vineyard manager and Eriq our head winemaker and our entire vineyard and cellar crew for the incredible work they put into every harvest.

I’m excited to announce we are producing a very limited edition of a Charbono Rose with this years harvest. Please stay tuned for updates on this special release.

Lastly, I included a mockup of our front entrance re design. We started a few months back but the heat has not been forgiving enough to continue safely for the plants. We will resume in the fall. In the meantime please excuse the mess. Also included are pictures of our Cabernet vineyards which also get harvested during this next week. love to all and hope to see everyone on the 19th at 2pm!

Awesome pictures of our 1- and 2-year-old Cabernet blocks. With 21 blocks planted to a diverse collection of Cabernet Sauvignon clones across the estate, we are embarking on a journey that is uniquely our own. Every vine is 100% head-trained and worked entirely by hand, reflecting our commitment to traditional farming and exceptional quality.

Also featured are photos of our 3-year-old olive block. What started as a vision is quickly becoming a reality, and we are excited to expect our first estate-grown olive harvest next season. Watching both the vineyard and olive groves mature together is a rewarding reminder that great farming is a long-term investment in the land.

This year we’re netting the vines, and we couldn’t be prouder of our incredible team. Our newest crew member is our son, Austen — so excited to work that he was out before the crack of dawn, ready to roll.

Planted in 2006, our beautiful foothill-grown Petite Sirah is now in its third season under fully regenerative and organic farming practices. The crew recently thinned nearly 30% of the crop to reduce yields and direct more energy into the remaining fruit. The clusters are vibrant, strong, and healthy.

We’re also seeing new wildlife return as the vineyard ecosystem strengthens. The third photo shows a tarantula hawk wasp — one more sign of biodiversity improving as we farm without relying on chemical inputs.
