Hot take: the smallest details are usually the ones people remember.

A kind follow-up. A quick thank you. Remembering someone’s name. Showing up prepared. Being genuinely excited for someone else’s success.

In business, relationships > transactions every single time.

What’s one small thing a business has done that made you remember them?

🚨 Here’s a nonprofit fundraising statistic that should get your attention:

Nearly 3 out of 4 first-time donors never make a second gift. That means for many organizations, donor retention - NOT donor acquisition - is the real challenge. (TMCnet)

So here’s the question:

Is your fundraising auction creating donors… or creating loyal supporters?

A great gala isn’t just about one successful night of fundraising. It’s about storytelling, connection, donor experience, and making people feel emotionally invested in your mission long after the event ends.

Because the organizations that keep donors engaged? They raise more over time.

Strong businesses are built on relationships.

The best opportunities often come from genuine connections, serving others well, and showing up consistently, long before anyone ever signs a contract. Networking isn’t just growing a business; it’s building a community of people who trust and support one another.

ā€œTwo are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.ā€

Happy Auctioneer’s Day! The final day of celebrating an industry I love and am blessed to be in!

I’m proud to be an auctioneer, using my voice, my energy, and my skillset to make a real impact.

I’m even more proud to represent women in this industry, showing up with confidence and paving the way for those coming behind me.

And above all, I’m grateful to use the talents God gave me to serve others, give back, and make a difference that goes far beyond the stage.

This isn’t just a career - it’s a calling.

Continuing the celebration of -

Day 3 is about community.

I recently had the opportunity to help lead a fundraiser for a 7-year-old boy battling kidney failure who has been waiting years for a transplant. His family worked endlessly to put together an amazing event, and our community showed up in a big way - together we raised over $15,000 to support his family.

This is what community and the auction industry means to me: showing up, giving back, and using the gifts God gave me to serve others and make an impact.

Why is auction advocacy important?

Day 2 of

Auction advocacy protects our industry, our voice, and our ability to serve.

It ensures fair laws, builds public trust, and keeps auctions a powerful tool for fundraising and impact.

When we advocate, we’re not just protecting a profession.. we’re protecting the difference we make.

Thank you to the National Auction Association for advocating and giving auction professionals a voice!

In celebration of

What does being an auctioneer mean to you?

It means that I get to be the connection point between a mission and the people who believe in it. I’m not just calling bids, I’m helping people feel something, see the impact of their giving, and become part of a bigger story.

It means using the talents God gave me for something greater than myself, and something that truly makes a difference.

It’s about taking the voice, energy, and instincts I’ve been given and channeling them into moments that inspire generosity and change lives. Every event is an opportunity to serve, to uplift a mission, and to help people step into their own generosity.

It also means being a good steward of those gifts by continuing to grow, refine my craft, and show up with purpose each time I step on stage. I see it as a calling, not just a career.

At its heart, it’s about honoring what I’ve been given by using it to create impact that lasts far beyond the moment.
