Keep yourself warm and safe out there folks!
❄️Snow Day!❄️
We all want to be knee deep in pow…not carbon monoxide.
If you heat with natural gas, after a big storm like this one, it’s important to make sure your heating system's intake and exhaust vents are kept clear of snow.
Why is this important? Carbon monoxide won’t be properly vented from your home which could cause your heating system to automatically turn off. Or worse, the carbon monoxide could be forced back into your home, putting you and those in your home at risk.
Bundle up and locate your vents on the outside of your home to clear any snow that’s built up around them. These vents can be found on your roof or an exterior wall and they may be metal or white plastic pipes.
Don’t wait until spring to learn more about the energy systems in your home, schedule a Home Energy Assessment with HC3 and be safe and comfortable in your home this winter!
