Rosenthal's "Magic Flute" tea set. ✨AN OPERA IN PORCELAIN ✨ Coming in our Aug 30th online auction.

Designed by legendary Danish artist Bjørn Wiinblad for Rosenthal, the spectacular Magic Flute “Sarastro” porcelain service was inspired by Mozart’s famous opera Die Zauberflöte — The Magic Flute.

First introduced in 1969, the collection transforms Mozart’s story into finely sculpted porcelain, with individual pieces depicting scenes and characters from the opera in elaborate relief.

And here's the detail most people never see…

Turn the pieces over and many feature portions of Mozart’s original opera libretto, rendered in Wiinblad’s whimsical ornamental handwriting.

The lavish Sarastro version takes the design even further with brilliant gold decoration contrasting against Rosenthal’s white porcelain.

This isn't simply a tea service.

🎭 It’s Mozart, Bjørn Wiinblad, and Rosenthal combined into functional art.

Beginning with Lot 21, we have some of the most beautiful art glass to choose from Tiffany, Loetz, Lalique, but don't miss the Tiffany Lamp, Lot 6!

Lot 28 brings you to the beginning of our selection of fine jewelry and watches. Many of the watches are gold and diamond and are absolutely gorgeous!

We have a few pocket watches, but the star of the show is Lot 7, a c1890's 18K Dragonfly gemstone case attributed to Farnham with Tiffany & Co watch inside!

Scrolling through, you will see more beautiful jewelry, antique porcelain and more art glass until you arrive at Lot 129 where you will find a remarkable Sevres porcelain box, Limoges, Royal Vienna and more terrific items.

At lot 159 is where you will find a vast array of Native American beauties from Navajo to Northern Plains, Sioux, beaded bags, masks, jewelry and more!

You will then find a few amazing Papua New Guinea items then at Lot 205, Chinese vintage and antiques, from tables and trunks to jade sculptures and vases. >

There are a handful of rare advertising pieces, first look at the 1915 Ferris Corsets countertop ad at Lot 10, the rest you can see at Lot 277.

Following will be a nice assortment of listed artist paintings and prints, many also come with letters, certs and receipts.

The hunt is on, friends!

Golden Sun’s May auction is packed with eye-catching finds, collector favorites, and rare estate treasures from every corner of the collecting world.

Lot 6 being the Chinese hardwood horseshoe chairs or even the Lunt sterling flatware at Lot 16. Beautiful 1 ct. and 2 ct. diamond rings.

Then lot 21 with Victorian jewelry, Native American and other 14Kgold and silver. If you love jewelry, it continues at Lot 63 with more beautiful sterling, or jump to Lot 98 with a great mix of 14K and sterling and the rest of the jewelry continuing at Lot 169

We have been fortunate to be offering some amazing antiques from a professional restorer in Riverside, CA. You can bid on some stunning scales, fans or other gorgeous pieces. Take a look at Lot 41.

If you love fine art, you can see the start of some beauties and some quirky pieces, too from artists. Rico LeBrun, Lebadang and Marc Chagall.
