On World Bee Day, we’re highlighting the importance of California’s native bees and the role they play in supporting healthy ecosystems. Species like Crotch’s bumblebee remind us how important pollinators are to biodiversity, and how important it is to understand, protect, and plan for them in the landscapes we work in. 🐝

At Endemic, our team includes qualified biologists prepared to support survey efforts for Crotch’s bumblebee, a current candidate species under the California Endangered Species Act, helping clients navigate field surveys and project planning with conservation in mind. 🌟

This Endangered Species Day, we’re recognizing this year’s theme: Celebrating Wildlife Comeback Stories. Championing the Endangered Species Act.

The California condor remains one of the most powerful examples of what long-term conservation, science, and species protection can make possible. Part of that recovery story includes work led by Pete Bloom during a pivotal chapter in the condor recovery effort, including the 1987 capture of AC9, the last wild condor brought into the recovery program.

Once reduced to just a handful of wild birds, the California condor now stands as a leading conservation comeback story, and a reminder of why sustained protection matters.

Earth Day is a reminder that conservation is ongoing work. 🌎

At Endemic, our mission is to protect California’s biodiversity through science, stewardship, and care for the habitats and species that make this state unique. Today, we’re celebrating Earth Day by sharing a few wildlife moments captured by our team in the field, and reflecting on the importance of protecting the natural systems we all depend on.

Yesterday, we celebrated World Wildlife Day and the incredible species that share our landscapes. From the soaring California condor to the small but resilient western snowy plover, each of these animals plays an important role in the ecosystems we work to protect.

We’re proud to support projects that help protect wildlife and the habitats they depend on. Every species matters, and every effort to conserve them helps keep our natural systems healthy for the future.

Last week, Endemic Environmental Services attended the Western Section of The Wildlife Society Conference in Monterey, CA! 🌊🌿

This multi-day conference brought together wildlife professionals, researchers, agencies, and students from across the region for thoughtful discussions, technical sessions, and meaningful collaboration. Our team was proud to engage in conversations on biological monitoring, habitat restoration, and applied wildlife research, while also connecting with the next generation of conservation leaders.

TWS West is a reminder of how strong and interconnected the wildlife community truly is. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and represent Endemic’s commitment to science-driven environmental solutions.

A big thank you to the Western Section of TWS for hosting such a well-organized and inspiring conference. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Conservation at Scale Takes Root at Fairview Park 🌟

Endemic Environmental Services is proud to kick off a new multi-year habitat restoration project at the Fairview Park Flower Fields in Costa Mesa, advancing our mission of Conservation at Scale.

Under a new long-term contract with the City of Costa Mesa, our team will restore 15 acres of coastal sage scrub and bluff habitat, protect sensitive wildlife and cultural resources, and continue our long-standing partnership with the city to build a more resilient park for sensitive species like the California gnatcatcher and least Bell’s vireo.

This project represents over a decade of collaboration, science-driven restoration, and community stewardship at one of Orange County’s most iconic open spaces.
