2025 has been a milestone year, and we’re closing it out with one of our proudest achievements yet. Spirit Aeronautics is now a Honeywell Aerospace-authorized Engine & APU Line Maintenance Service Center — a major expansion of our 25+ year partnership as a Honeywell Avionics Service Center.

This new authorization means we can now perform OEM-level line maintenance and repairs on: • Honeywell TFE731 & HTF7000 series engines (Bombardier Challenger 300/350, Embraer Legacy 450/500, Praetor 500/600, and more) • Honeywell 36-150 APU family (Gulfstream G200, Dassault Falcon 2000/900 series, and others)

As a Honeywell MSP-approved provider, operators enrolled in MSP and MSP Gold programs can have scheduled and unscheduled engine/APU work performed under our roof — with full warranty coverage and zero loss of program benefits.

None of this happens without serious investment: OEM engine training, specialized tooling, test equipment, and — most importantly — growing our team with some of the best technicians in the industry. Our people remain the heartbeat of Spirit: safety-first, can-do, roll-up-your-sleeves professionals who’ve carried us through every challenge for 25 years.

The result? True one-stop maintenance. Heavy checks. Engine & APU line work. World-class avionics expertise. All in one place, all to the highest OEM standards — maximizing dispatch reliability and minimizing your downtime.
Here’s to 25 years of earning your trust — and to many more decades of keeping you in the air.

Keeping a commitment inspite of late parts arrivals, our team does not relent.

We completed multiple service requests and scheduled inspections for our client's Gulfstream GIV today. Their Monday departure will not be missed as all work item requests are now completed and the aircraft is returned to service.

Today, we are proud to announce that Amanda Ochs is moving from CFO to CEO of Spirit Aeronautics! This isn’t just a title change, it’s the next natural step for someone who’s worked her way up through nearly every department at Spirit. From Accounting to Purchasing, Sales, and beyond, Amanda has seen (and done) it all. Amanda’s deep institutional & industry knowledge and impressive business acumen have positioned her perfectly to lead our next chapter. While she may not come from a technical background, her ability to align technical expertise with strategic vision is exactly what we need to push our company forward in sustainable growth. She earned her pilot’s license at 17 and then graduated with honors from high school two weeks later. She began her career at Spirit during her time as a college intern serving the business aviation industry by cold calling and selling avionics rotables for flight departments across the USA. She graduated with honors in 2 business degrees and has been an accomplished self-starter in our company ever since. Serving as our client’s best advocate ensuring their satisfaction with our services, Amanda’s ability to now lead Spirit Aeronautics into our next level up for capabilities and staffing will ensure our commitment to our clients is steadfast by leading the next generation of aerospace professionals.

Rick Ochs will continue in the role as President and Owner, focusing heavily on our operations in Texas and pursuing new business aircraft maintenance services and avionics sales, along with new federal contracting opportunities over the coming years for our growing business.

We’re incredibly excited for this new chapter at Spirit Aeronautics as we continue building a company known for its deep expertise, exceptional customer support, and a positive, supportive workplace where our team can take pride in their work. Amanda has always believed that our greatest strength is our people, and she sees the team as Spirit’s most

Rick and James rocked the FAA's Ohio IA Renewal Seminar yesterday!
The event was held in the new Aviation Vocational Education program at Eastland career center in Columbus, Ohio.
Rick presented on FOQA and predictive maintenance technologies during the afternoon seminar session.
It was an excellent program with aircraft mechanics from all across Ohio in attendance.
Lots of great stories and swag were swapped that day.

We are seeking to expand our volunteer base and we know our best source is from those who already have been helping us out for so long. Both Pilots and Non-Pilots are needed to help out!

Coffee and donuts are provided in the morning and lunch will be provided also to all of our volunteers.

Here are some of the positions we will need to fill:

Group Hosts

We are looking for people who are knowledgeable in the above areas and/or are just aviation enthusiasts who would enjoy being around airplanes and encourage and inspire our youth in aviation.

If you haven't helped us before and don't know where you'd fit in, don't worry, we will team you up with someone to show you the ropes. You won't be on your own!
