We are looking to pay for participants for one of 2 Mock Trials. The Mock Trials will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 and the following Saturday, February 5, 2022. The Mock Trial will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Participants are expected to be 18 years or older, live in Alachua County, and can read and speak English fluently.
The time commitment will be approximately 8 hours and all participants will be paid $125.00 for their participation. Food and refreshments will be provided for all participants.
The Mock Trial will include: (1) opening statements; (2) testimony; (3) closing statements; (4) jury instructions; (5) deliberations and verdict; and (6) a question and answer session with the event moderator.
To streamline the application process, we will now be accepting all applications through the following form. You can select from either the 1/29/22 or 2/5/22 Mock Trial dates, or availability for both. We are looking to pay for participants for a Mock Trial on February 5, 2022. The Mock Trial will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Thank you for all the interest in our August Mock Trials!

We have closed the applications for these two Mock Trials. If you are accepted, you will receive an email towards the end of the month with additional information. So please keep an eye out.

If you are not accepted or were unable to get an application in before the cutoff, we will be running more Mock Trials (not only in Gainesville, but in the surrounding area as well) later this year!

We are looking for participants for TWO mock jury trials in August of 2021.

One will be on August 14th and the second will be on August 21st. Both will run from approximately 10AM to 4PM.

Participants are expected to be 18 years or older, live in Alachua County, and can read and speak English fluently.

It was great opportunity for the attorneys to get input from members of our community.

Jury Trials are back in Alachua County!

We are very happy to have provided Mock Trial services for the first Jury Trial in Alachua County since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you to all who participated!

We are looking for participants for another mock jury trial which will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 in Gainesville, FL Participants are expected to be 18 years or older, live in Alachua County, and can read and speak English fluently.

The time commitment will be approximately 6 hours and all participants will be paid $125.00 for their participants. The Mock Trial will include: (1) jury selection; (2) opening statements; (3) testimony; (4) closing statements; (5) deliberations; and (6) a question and answer session with the attorneys involved.

Due to COVID-19, most jury trials in the area have been postponed into 2021. Because of this, we have cancelled plans for mock trials through the end of December.

Thank you to everyone who came out for our first sessions yesterday!

Our Mock Trial and Focus Group sessions went great and the attorneys involved received very valuable insight.

We are planning to run another session here in late-November so keep a lookout for our next application.

Thank you for your overwhelming interest in our first session on October 25th!

We will be reviewing the applications over the coming days and will be sending emails to those selected on Wednesday, October 21st.

If you are selected, we need confirmation of your plan to attend by Friday, October 23rd. If we do not receive confirmation by then, we will move down to the next person on the list.

If you were not selected or did not get your application in yet, don't worry. We will be holding these sessions every month or so and will keep applications on file for selection in future sessions.
