🚀 Keeping Up with Technology & Staying Ahead of the Game! 🐜❤️🖤

While the rest of our technicians are out in the field taking care of our customers, our daughter and marketing guru, Sophie, is busy learning new ways to help Combs Pest Control grow! greaterhallchamber

Today, Sophie is attending an AI Conference sponsored by the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, learning how to use artificial intelligence to improve our marketing, reach more customers, and keep our family-owned business moving forward.

At Combs Pest Control, we believe there’s always something new to learn! Whether it’s the latest pest control techniques, better ways to serve our customers, or new technology to help our business grow, we’re committed to constantly improving.

We may be a small, family-owned business, but we’ve got BIG plans! 💪🐜

We’re proud of Sophie for taking the initiative to keep us learning, growing, and evolving!

I’ve got to brag on our team for a minute! 👏🐜

Amy and I recently made a trip out to one of our apartment complexes to put our own eyeballs on things and see how everything was looking.

The last time we were there, several months ago, we were dealing with some pretty serious German roach infestations. Since then, Laura, Jesse, and Sophie have been the ones taking care of business, month after month.

Well, let me tell you what we found this time…

NOT A SINGLE INFESTATION! 🙌

We saw very few live roaches, and the difference from our last visit was night and day!

Now, anybody in the pest control business knows that getting German roaches under control in a multifamily property is no small task. It takes consistency, attention to detail, patience, and a whole lot of hard work.

And our team has been putting in that work!

As a business owner, there’s something pretty special about walking into a property that used to have major problems and seeing firsthand what your employees have accomplished without you having to be there.

Laura, Jesse, and Sophie — we are proud of y’all! You are proof that doing things the right way, even when nobody is watching, makes all the difference.

This is what building a great team is all about. And it’s what makes Combs Pest Control who we are! ❤️🖤

Investing in Our Business, Our Team, and YOU! 🐜🇺🇸

Amy and I just returned from a professional pest management conference led by the incomparable Paul Bello, a nationally respected entomologist, industry educator, and pest management consultant with decades of experience in the business.

Now, I won’t lie. We enjoyed some good food, great friends, and a little time at the beach! 🌴☀️ But make no mistake about it — this was a WORK trip!

We invested a good bit of our time and hard-earned money to be there, learning from some of the very best minds in our industry. And I’m proud to say we didn’t just attend — our very own Mama Bugs (Amy) was invited to teach a session! I’m pretty dang proud of her!

And we didn’t stop there.

This morning, our ENTIRE Combs Pest Control team attended additional training right here locally!

Why? Because after more than 32 years in this business, I’ve learned one thing for certain: The day you think you know it all is the day you stop getting better.

We don’t invest in training just to hang certificates on the wall. We do it because our customers deserve knowledgeable, well-trained professionals who take their jobs seriously.

We’re a small, family-owned business, and we work hard for every customer who puts their trust in us. Continuing education, learning new techniques, and staying on top of our ever-changing industry are part of that commitment.

We’re not trying to be the biggest pest control company around. We’re working every day to be one of the BEST.

And that takes more than just showing up with a spray rig.

Thank you to our customers for allowing us to do what we love, and to our team for being willing to keep learning and growing with us!

— Ron

We’re urging Georgians to exercise caution when hiring pest control services after the Structural Pest Division received an increase in reports of unlicensed individuals going door-to-door to solicit business.

Remember | Pest control representatives are required to carry their license and present it upon request. If a license is not provided, contact us immediately at https://agr.georgia.gov/reporting-unlicensed-operators-structural-pest..

For YEARS we’ve been in a business development group watching all our pest control friends get the cool M&A swag and care packages…

Meanwhile, over at Combs Pest Control: nothing. 😂

Well, apparently someone finally noticed.

We’re not sure if we’ve officially “arrived” or if they just finally felt sorry for us, but WE GOT A CARE PACKAGE! 🤣🙌

And honestly? We don’t care why. We’re just happy to finally be part of the cool kids club.

A huge thank you for the goodies — and to the head of our business group (Mary Ann Sapienza Bello, we all know who the head truly is…) for apparently making sure the neglected children finally got fed. 😂❤️

We’ll try not to let it go to our heads.

No promises. 🤣

Thank you so much The Aust Group!! We are truly honored by your generosity!

🐍 Just another day in pest control… sort of. 😂

We got a call from one of the daycares we service after snakes had been reported in one of the classrooms. 😳

Now, Combs Pest Control handles a whole lot of creepy-crawly things, but wildlife isn’t one of them. So we called in one of our trusted partners to inspect the attic and figure out where our slithery little visitors might be coming from.

While our wildlife guy was up in the attic doing the actual inspection, Ron apparently got assigned a much more important job downstairs. 😂❤️

Within minutes, he had a full audience of tiny helpers gathered around, asking questions, checking out his equipment, and making sure he knew exactly what he was doing.

This picture pretty much sums up why we love what we do. Pest control isn’t always just about bugs, rodents, or—in this case—snakes. It’s about the people we get to know along the way… even the very small, very curious ones. ❤️

And judging by this picture, Ron may need to add “Daycare Show & Tell” to his official job description. 😂

“The little things matter…”

We recently picked up a new commercial account, and when we arrived for the first service, the previous pest control company had been there less than 45 minutes earlier (their service ticket was still hanging in the door).

This is what we found…

🕸️ Spider webs covering corners, windows, cameras, and entryways.

🐝 Wasp nests still attached around the front entrance.

🪹 Dirt dauber nests left in place.

To some people, those may seem like cosmetic issues. To us, they’re part of pest control.

When our technicians service a property, removing spider webs, wasp nests, and dirt dauber nests isn’t an “extra”—it’s part of the routine. Here’s why:

• Spider webs tell us where spiders are active and removing them disrupts their hunting areas.
• Old wasp nests may not be reused by the same colony, but leaving them up makes a property look neglected and often concerns customers.
• Dirt dauber nests can stain buildings over time and become homes for other insects after they’re abandoned.
• Most importantly… a clean exterior lets us spot new pest activity much sooner.

Could someone spray around a building in 10 minutes and call it serviced? Sure.

But real pest control is about paying attention to the details.

We believe every service should leave a property looking better than when we arrived. Whether it’s a home, apartment community, restaurant, or office building, we’re not just there to spray—we’re there to protect your investment and take pride in our work.

Because in our business…

The details are what separate a visit from a service.

Please help us welcome the newest member of the Combs Pest Control family… Jesse Vargas! 🎉🐜

Some hires are made after a stack of resumes. Others are made because you’ve known someone’s character for years.

We’ve known Jesse and his family for a long time, so when the opportunity came to bring him on board, we didn’t hesitate. We knew he had the work ethic, integrity, and personality that fit exactly what Combs Pest Control is all about.

Around here, we believe pest control is about more than just eliminating bugs—it’s about taking care of people. We look for team members who treat every customer’s home with respect, show up with a positive attitude, and take pride in doing the job right. Jesse checks every one of those boxes.

If you see Jesse out servicing your home or business, be sure to say hello and make him feel welcome. We know he’s going to do a fantastic job, and we’re excited to have him representing Combs Pest Control.

Welcome to the family, Jesse! We’re glad you’re here! 💪🇺🇸❤️
