This week a customer asked us "how do I avoid orange peel?"

Orange peel can happen for a variety of reasons, but a few simple checks can make a big difference:

• Check for good ground - its simple but its the key to everything!
• Apply the recommended film thickness—too much powder can create serious orange peel.
• Be aware of your gun to part distance
• Use the right gun settings and control your kVs and micro amps

Every powder is a little different, so following the manufacturer's recommendations is key to achieving a smooth, consistent finish.
