One job site cleanup can produce a surprising amount of debris.

Instead of sending it to a landfill, materials move through the Gaston system: collected from job sites, transported to our recycling facility, processed, and turned into mulch and soil.

It’s a full-cycle approach many contractors rely on across the region.

Taking down a large tree is never easy, especially one that’s been part of a property for so long. It’s always sad to see it go.

But the story doesn’t end here. Through Gaston’s, this tree will be responsibly recycled and given new life. In the words of one of our team members, "We use the whole thing. From tip to root."

He's referring to how, in the coming weeks, the trunk will be repurposed as mulch – and, over time, the rest of the tree will break down and become part of the topsoil we sell at Gaston Mulch & Soil.

So while this tree may be gone, its story continues. Soon, it will be helping something new grow.
