This is Pretty freaking cool! My Former students Matt “too tall” Gallagher and Zach LaRue are flying a trip together today for Envoy! Matt Came to me wanting to learn to fly but everyone said he was too tall. I said I could cram him in a Cessna and teach him. And Zach’s family bought a piper to learn to fly in and every other flight it broke down. But these guys put their heads down and worked their butts off and turned out to be absolutely amazing pilots! Those passengers were in fantastic hands today! Looks like Matt has a little more head room in the Jet 🤣

Join me tomorrow morning, Monday, July 20, from 10:00–11:15 AM at Forum Stage 10 during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. I’ll present “How to Ace Your Checkride.” Topics include scheduling your checkride, prequalifying the applicant, verifying aircraft airworthiness, preparing for the ground and flight portions, common areas applicants struggle with, and other online sources that other designated pilot examiners have shared to help you be better prepared.

My Video is up on YouTube talking about our FAA Weather Cameras we installed, and how to use them on several different sources. Not too many pilots know about these cameras and they can be a very valuable tool when it comes to your preflight weather briefings. Here is a link to the video https://youtu.be/pVPTgqyuFuU

A huge thank you to for giving us the grand tour of their new location in McKinney, Texas and providing lunch. Just blown away by how nice all the facilities were. Everything at Cirrus is first class, the planes, the employees, the training, and the facilities.
