On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we honor more than a man—we reflect on a legacy rooted in faith, service, and an unwavering commitment to justice. Dr. King’s leadership was guided by a deep belief that faith demands action, that love must be lived out through service to others, and that peace is not passive but courageous. He taught that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere, and that silence in the face of oppression is a moral failure. Through nonviolence and moral clarity, Dr. King challenged a nation to confront its conscience and to rise closer to its highest ideals. His legacy reminds us that the struggle for justice is ongoing, and that each generation bears the responsibility to stand up, speak out, and serve others with courage, humility, and hope.
