MY EXPERIENCE
Over my career, I’ve served in leadership roles with diverse organizations:

Are you a good fit for C12?

Not every Christian business leader is a fit for a C12 table.

But for many leaders, the reason they hesitate is the exact reason they need it:
“I don’t have time.”
“I’m too busy.”
“Maybe when things slow down.”

C12 creates a monthly space to step out of the noise and work on the business, not just in it.
Peer counsel. Executive coaching. Strategic clarity. Biblical accountability. Prayer. Real business growth.

Our Northern VA/DC member benefits include monthly peer advisory forums, one-on-one executive coaching, leadership curriculum, annual business presentation analysis, benchmarking insights, and access to a national and global Christian business leader network.

Our members show up for their C12 Forum, not because they have more time, but because the value far exceeds the time invested.

Great businesses don’t happen by accident.
Neither do great leaders.

If you’re a Christian CEO who feels stretched thin or wants a trusted group of peers who will challenge and encourage you, set up time to get to know more about how C12 will equip you to make a great business for a greater purpose!

Ten years ago, Mike Sharrow became the third CEO of C12. The path he took there is unusual and worth knowing.

He started as a C12 Member in 2010, sitting around a forum table as a CEO, carrying his own weight.

A year later, he became a Chair, serving other CEOs through the same forum experience that had shaped him.

By 2013, he was building the Central Texas market. In 2016, he took on the responsibility of leading the whole organization.

Member. Chair. CEO. Three vantage points on the same community, walked by the same person.

Under Mike's leadership, C12 has grown into the world's largest peer-learning organization for Christian CEOs — now serving more than 4,900 Members across nine countries through the work of 250+ Chairs.

But the part of Mike's story that matters most to those who know him is not the scale. It is the consistency.

Thank you, Mike, for ten years of faithful leadership.

Happy Mario Day! 🎮 As a leader or parent are you more focused on the "pits" or "saving the princess?"

As a C12 Chair, I love when culture gives us small on-ramps to big conversations—and today is one of those days. March 10 is “Mario Day” (MAR10), a fun nod to the classic video game hero many of us grew up with.

In his TED talk “The Super Mario Effect,” former NASA engineer and creator Mark Rober shares a powerful idea: when we focus on “saving the princess” (the bigger goal) instead of the “pits” (our failures), we learn more, keep trying, and ultimately grow. Instead of treating mistakes as verdicts, we treat them as feedback.

That’s a game-changer for leadership. As Christian business owners and executives, we’re called to steward the businesses God has entrusted to us with excellence and purpose. When we fixate on every misstep, we shrink back. When we stay focused on the mission—building great businesses with a greater purpose—we create cultures where our teams can experiment, learn, and try again without being paralyzed by fear. Without margin, the mission stands still; but with margin and a “Super Mario” mindset, even the hard levels become part of God’s shaping work in us.

It also matters at home. As parents and grandparents, we can help our kids see life more like a series of levels than final exams: try, fail, adjust, and try again. Whether it’s a tough class, a sport, or a friendship, we can keep pointing them back to the “princess”—their growth, character, and God-given calling—instead of obsessing over the pits they fell into today.

If you need a fresh nudge in that direction, I highly recommend Mark Rober’s talk:

On this Mario Day, may you lead and parent with your eyes on the bigger mission God has set before you—embracing every “level” as part of His good work in and through you.
