This client gave us the go ahead on a full front entry makeover.

We’ll be removing the existing brick, taking out the trees and excavating the stumps before getting started on a new Unilock patio, French drain system and new stairs.

Going to be a big change when this one is finished.

Show up promptly, get the equipment unloaded, and get after it.

This homeowner has been dealing with water entering the basement through the existing egress area, so we’re putting together a complete drainage and hardscape solution.

French drain system, permeable door landing, new retaining wall, sump pump drainage, and precast landscape stairs.

A good project with a little bit of everything — excavation, drainage and hardscape.

Permitted lake project, tight working conditions, a big house, and a whole lot of water to manage. This one took some planning and attention to grade to get the water where it needed to go.

Nothing better than hearing the homeowner say, “we now have a dry home!”

That’s what drainage work is supposed to do.

The majority of the yard is prairie, and we added an area of no-mow grass that’ll be seeded into a thick bed of compost and covered with straw blanket.

We added more natural crushed stone to the driveway to show off the stone and pack the fines in tight.

On the other side of the property we did some dirt work and planted more prairie mix.

We’re also working with the homeowners on a few different edging ideas to tie everything together as the project keeps taking shape.

We reworked the ground and added this planting berm to help slow down runoff and protect the future prairie from erosion and washouts.

The berm also gives the property some added shape and will eventually be planted as a landscape feature.

A good example of how the right grading can improve drainage, control erosion, and add to the landscape at the same time.
